How To Register Unregister Panasonic

The supplied handset and base unit are preregistered. If for some reason the handset is not registered to the base unit, re-register the handset.

If you need to remove a handset from the system (handset is lost) you can deregister the handset.

Registration and deregistration programming does vary depending on the model. For instructions on a particular model select the alpha numeric digits that the telephone model begins with from the list below.

Model KX-TG113CSK

Up to 6 handsets can be registered to the base unit

To re-register a handset, follow this procedure;

Examples of Menu Button Location

  1. On the Handset: Press [ MENU # 1 3 0 ].
  2. On the Base Unit: Press and hold [ LOCATOR ] for about 5 seconds until the registration tone sounds. If all registered handsets start ringing, press the [ LOCATOR ] button to stop, then repeat this step.
  3. Important: This step must be completed within 90 seconds. On the Handset: Press [OK], then wait until a long beep sounds.

  1. On the Handset: Press [ MENU # 1 3 1 ]. All handsets registered to the base unit are displayed.
  2. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select the handset you want to deregister, then press [ SELECT ].
  3. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Yes", then press [ SELECT ].
  4. Press [ OFF ].

Model KX-TG133CSK, KX-TG153CSK

Up to 6 handsets can be registered to the base unit

  3. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Yes", then press [ SELECT ].
  4. If using a handset press [ OFF ], If using the Base unit press [ EXIT ].

Model KX-TG163CSK

  4. Press [ OFF ].

Model KX-TG2153SK

Handset batteries must be fully charged before registration. Hold the handset close to the base unit during the registration process.

Handsets that were supplied with the base unit are already pre-registered.

To Register

  1. On the Base Unit. Press and hold the [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] button for 5 seconds. The base unit will remain in registration mode for 120 seconds.
  2. Perform one of the following steps on the handset.

    • If the handset is not registered to a base unit: "Register your Handset"
      1. Press the [OK] button.
      2. "Press locator Key for 5 sec", is displayed, press the [OK] button.
      3. Enter the 4 digit PIN code (Default=0000).
      4. Press the [OK] button again.

    • If the handset is already registered to a base unit,
      1. Press the [MENU] button.
      2. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Advanced set".
      3. Press the [OK] button.
      4. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Register".
      5. Press the [OK] button.
      6. "Press locator Key for 5 sec", is displayed, press the [OK] button.
      7. Enter the 4 digit PIN code (Default=0000).
      8. Press the [OK] button again.

A beep will be heard if the registration is successful. The handset is automatically assigned an available handset number.

If registration is not successful the first time, please repeat the process again in case the base registration period ran out of time. If the base unit is not found after about 120 seconds, the handset returns to standby. Try registering again.

To Deregister

Using the handset or base uint

  1. Press the [MENU] button.
  2. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Advanced set".
  3. Press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Deregister".
  5. Press the [OK] button.
  6. Enter the 4 digit PIN code (Default=0000).
  7. Press the [OK] button.
  8. Press the arrow down ▼ to select the handset that needs to be deregistered, press the [OK] button. A confirmation beep will be heard and the display will return to standby

Models KX-TG2711, KX-TG2722


To register a handset

  1. On the handset: press [MENU].
  2. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Initial setting" then press [OK].
  3. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Registration" then press [OK].
  4. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "HS Registration" then press [OK].
  5. On the base unit: Press and hold [LOCATOR Image] for approx. 5 seconds. (For models KX-TG2722 a beep tone is heard)
    • Note: If all registered handsets start ringing, press the same button to stop. Then repeat this step.
  6. IMPORTANT: The next step must be completed within 90 seconds. On the Handset: Press [OK], then wait until a long beep sounds.

Note: While registering, "Base in registering mode" is displayed on all registered handsets.


To deregister a handset

  1. On the handset press [MENU].
  2. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Initial setting" then press [OK].
  3. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Registration" then press [OK].
  4. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Deregistration" then press [OK].
  5. Press [3 3 5] then press [OK].
  6. Select the handset(s) you want to deregister by pressing the desired handset number [1] to [6] then press [OK].
    • The selected handset number(s) flashes.
    • To undo a selection, press the handset number again. The number stops flashing.
  7. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Yes" then press [OK].
  8. Press [OFF].

Models KX-TG273CSK/SK

Model KX-TG7122SK

You can add up to 50 names (16 characters max.) and phone numbers (24 digits max.) to the phonebook, and assign each phonebook entry to the desired group.

All entries can be shared by the base unit and any registered handset.


To add a phonebook item on the Handset

  1. Press the arrow left ◄ for the Phonebook Icon then press [ MENU ].
  2. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select "Add new Entry" press [ SELECT ].
  3. Enter the name by pressing the corresponding alphabet from the numbers on the handset keypad, press [ OK ].
  4. Enter the phone number of the contact then press [ OK ].
  5. Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ button to select the desired group, press [ SELECT ] two times.
  6. Press [ OFF ].

Model KX-TG744SK

Up to 6 handsets can be registered to the base unit

How to Register a Handset.


  1. On the Base Unit. Press and hold the Locator Image button. (this button is on the bottom of the base unit). The base unit will remain in registration mode for 120 seconds.
  2. On the Handset.
    • If "Unregistered" is displayed, press the [MENU/OK] button, and then enter the 4 digit PIN code (0000).
    • If "Searching" or "Unavailable" is displayed, press the [MENU/OK] button, then press the arrow down ▼ to select "Advanced Setting".
  3. Press the [MENU/OK] button.
  4. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Register".
  5. Press the [MENU/OK] button.
  6. Enter in the 4 digit PIN code (0000).
  7. Press the [MENU/OK] button to register.

A beep will be heard if the registration is successful. The handset is automatically assigned an available handset number.

If registration is not successful the first time, please repeat the process again in case the base registration period ran out of time. If the base unit is not found after about 120 seconds, the handset returns to standby. Try registering again.

To Deregister

  1. Press the [MENU/OK] button.
  2. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Advanced set".
  3. Press the [MENU/OK] button.
  4. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Deregister".

Handset batteries must be fully charged before registration. Hold the handset close to the base unit during the registration process.

Handsets that were supplied with the base unit are already pre-registered.

To Register

  1. On the Base Unit. Press and hold the [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] button for 5 seconds. The base unit will remain in registration mode for 120 seconds.
  2. Perform one of the following steps on the handset.

    • If the handset is not registered to a base unit: "Register your Handset"
      1. Press the [OK] button.
      2. "Press locator Key for 5 sec", is displayed, press the [OK] button.
      3. Enter the 4 digit PIN code (Default=0000).
      4. Press the [OK] button again.

    • If the handset is already registered to a base unit,
      1. Press the [MENU] button.
      2. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Advanced set".
      3. Press the [OK] button.
      4. Press the arrow down ▼ to select "Register".
      5. Press the [OK] button.
      6. "Press locator Key for 5 sec", is displayed, press the [OK] button.
      7. Enter the 4 digit PIN code (Default=0000).
      8. Press the [OK] button again.
